2025-26 - Trussworks, Inc.

After decades of expertise applying social and behavioral science principles to solve complex real-world challenges, Everett Harper will explore how AI can serve as infrastructure for collective wisdom. These systems would enable teams and communities to discover shared interests, integrate data to reveal new coalitions, and enable coordinated action at scale to meet the challenge of global problems.

Harper was the CEO and Co-Founder of Truss, and exited in 2026. Starting in 2012, he led the digital services company that built award-winning software, such as IRS Direct File, for federal agencies.

He is the author of Move to the Edge, Declare it Center (Wiley), detailing leadership and organizational practices to navigate uncertainty and complex decision-making. He also wrote for Fuqua (Duke), Forbes, Information Week, and Techcrunch.  Harper has spoken at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Dent the Future, and O’Reilly Velocity conferences.

Harper was a Stanford MBA and M.Ed, and an A.B. Duke Scholar at Duke University where he won NCAA National Championship in soccer. He is a Board Director at CARE, and Advisory Boards at CASE (Duke).
