To date, research and management have tended to focus on individual uses and pressures on ocean resources. The result is that we have a very limited understanding of the changes underway and, in particular, of the interaction and possible synergies among the many stresses we put on the oceans. To address this problem, the Center for Ocean Solutions has assembled a team of experts in applicable areas to combine data and innovative modeling techniques to identify effective interventions to improve oceans conditions. CASBS is a partner in this initiative funded by the Stanford Catalyst for Collaborative Solutions.
