CASBS fellow Phyllis Moen is coauthor of an article published in the American Sociological Review that, on October 1, received the 2015 Rosabeth Moss Kanter Award for Excellence in Work-Family Research.
Issued by the Boston College Center for Work & Family, the award was given for the article “Changing Work and Work-Family Conflict: Evidence from the Work, Family, and Health Network.” It appeared in the June 2014 issue of ASR. The Boston College Center for Work & Family will recognize the awardees at the 25th Anniversary Gala on November 5 in Boston.
Named in honor of Rosabeth Moss Kanter, who has been identified as the most influential contributor to modern literature on work and family, the Kanter Award is given for the best research paper published during the year. The finalists were selected through a rigorous process involving nomination and review by a committee of over 55 leading scholars. The winning article was selected from over 2500 articles published in 2014 in 77 leading English-language journals from around the world.
Phyllis Moen holds the McKnight Endowed Presidential Chair in Sociology at the University of Minnesota.
