Andrius Kazukauskas

At CASBS, Andrius Kažukauskas will study how cultural context, social values, trust, and new information shape people’s willingness to act prosocially, especially during critical periods for electricity grids across different cultural contexts.

Kažukauskas is an applied economist whose research examines how households respond to prices, information, and policy interventions in energy and environmental settings. His recent work focuses on residential electricity use and responses to behavioral interventions. Kažukauskas primarily uses randomized field and laboratory experiments.

Kažukauskas is professor of economics at Vilnius University and a researcher at Södertörn University. He holds a PhD from Trinity College Dublin. Kažukauskas is the Riksbanken Jubileumsfond-CASBS Fellow for 2026-27.
