Chien Lee

Chien Lee is a native of Hong Kong who devotes his time to not-for-profit organizations, principally in the education sector. Mr. Lee chairs Bei Shan Tang Foundation, his family’s charitable foundation which promotes Chinese Art and Culture as well as Education. He is on the board of a primary and secondary school in Hong Kong. He has served as Chairman of Outward Bound Hong Kong and is currently President of the Outward Bound Trust of Hong Kong. He also served as Vice Chairman of Outward Bound International and is currently Chairman of Outward Bound Center for Peacebuilding and a member of the board of Outward Bound Central China.

Educated in Hong Kong, Switzerland and the United States, Mr. Lee received his B.S., M.S. and M.B.A. degrees from Stanford University. He is an active Stanford volunteer, a former university trustee and recipient of the Gold Spike Award. He has served on the boards of the Stanford Alumni Association and Stanford Health Care; the Advisory Board of the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies; and Advisory Councils of the School of Engineering and the Graduate School of Business. He is currently on the Board of Stanford’s Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences, the Advisory Council of the Graduate School of Education and the Stanford Center at Peking University.
