Joseph Tao-yi Wang

While at CASBS, Joseph Tao-Yi Wang plans to consume interdisciplinary knowledge to help him analyze existing data, and apply experimental economics methodology to produce knowledge in various disciplines, so that he can study language and communication, rational inattention, and reasoning with modern LLM.

Wang is a distinguished professor in the department of economics at National Taiwan University. He received his PhD in Economics from UCLA and was a postdoc at Caltech.

Wang is the Stanford-Taiwan Social Science Fellow for 2026-27.
