Ram Fishman

During his time at CASBS, Ram Fishman will work on synthesizing his own experience and the border literature in economics on the environmental impacts of smallholder farms with perspectives from other disciplines. He is a development and environment economist, whose research is focused on sustainable agriculture, water scarcity and climate change, with an emphasis on developing countries. His work employs a mix of field work, experiments and the analysis of integrated socio-economic and environmental data.
Fishman is a professor of public policy at Tel Aviv University and the director of the Nitsan lab for sustainable development which aims to introduce innovative solutions in clean water, efficient agriculture and other areas to low income users through field studies.
